Wills

Our Service

At the first appointment we advise you, discuss your requirements and take your instructions for the actual preparation of your Wills. This can either be in our office or, at no additional cost to you, in the comfort of your own home or office - which most clients, understandably, prefer. Home visits can be in the evenings or at weekends as well as during office hours.

Having taken your instructions at the first appointment, the documents are then prepared by us and a second appointment is normally made for us to supervise the attestation (signing and witnessing) of the documents. There is no additional fee for this service or for the preparation of the documents. We only charge one fee, as quoted below, which is for the first appointment, where we advise you and take your instructions, at which point the fee is paid. This fee covers the majority of Wills: extra cost on Wills only arises if there are genuine complications such as Property, Discretionary or Lifetime Trusts to be included: but these are always at your discretion, and you do not have to pay more than the basic fee if there are no complications.

Why should I make a Will?

Really, all adults should. Certainly married couples and, even more importantly, co-habiting partners. A will is absolutely vital, for several reasons, if you have young children, especially if any are from a previous relationship.
